Trying to play a bit of catch up

I am so sorry for the lack of posts!!  Internet has been crazy...the trip has been CRAZY...and now, we are all crazy:-).  It all began when Birmingham Delta caused us to miss our international flight to Beijing, and then couldn't figure out how to get us to China.  Seriously.  This has never happened before.  So, we went from Birmingham to Detroit to Shanghai (RACED through the airport in Shanghai and BARELY made the flight to Beijing).

Met Aunt Chantelle in Detroit!

Finally made it to Beijing

Stayed at New Day in Beijing for two nights so that CJ and Landon could see their old foster home.

This amazing woman oversees New Day

Mimi and kids outside of New Day

Flying from Beijing to Nanning to get David

David's orphanage director bringing him in to meet us

Waiting in the civil affairs office to get David

Bless his heart, David was brought to us directly from the hospital.  They said he had been there for a week with a transfusion reaction.  So so hard.

Finally a Symasek

This photo was loaded FIRST and the computer posted it last...anyway, this was at the airport in Birmingham.  Y'all, these kids were rock stars...they traveled for 36 hours straight - the trip was supposed to take 24 hours.  Luke finished the trip with a migraine.  But God.  He has given strength to overcome migraines, vomiting, paperwork mistakes, and flight cancellations.  We absolutely could not do this without Jesus.  Thank you guys SO much for your patience with me!  I promise to post more tonight!  Love you all!!

David leaving his foster home in Tianjin to go back to his orphanage
The first photo we saw of David

Hi Friends and Family!  Departure is less than seven days away!!  We are so excited and are thrilled to have you "join" us as we travel home to bring home little David from Nann*ng, Guangx!  I tried to create a privatized travel site, but those of you who know me well know that this is not my forte - so the blog will have to do.  Because this isn't privatized, I may type words a little strangely or share "in code".  My hope is to update as much as possible!
Love you all and thanks for following along!!  And while we are traveling...your comments will be cherished!
